Countertops
The Evolution
Our Countertops
The Countertop is an essential part of the work we do, and we only use the best selection of materials such as Quartz, Granite, Marble and Cambria.
Extremely elegant
Beautiful and resistant materials
Remember the Good-Old Formica or the wood frame concrete with tiles on top to make it less boring and more resilient?, well all that is gone, Bye-Bye Formica, bye-bye concrete, welcome Quartz, Granite, and Cambria, extremely elegant, beautiful, and resistant materials that last longer while they make our spaces look great.
The “Evolution of Countertops”, to call it that way, 0has put a lot of other hard, beautiful, and resistant materials in the homes of people who before, could not even dream about them due to the excessive cost of such stones, mostly imported from far away carrying immense costs of transportation and labor.
Today, thanks to technology and a diversification of markets, these expensive materials have become more affordable in time, and we don’t mean cheap.
Nowadays it is very common to find different kinds of countertop materials in the kitchens and bathroom vanities of our homes and businesses but the most frequently found are Granite, Quartz, Quartzite, Marble, and very recently Cambria.
We must establish that we do not SELL countertops, instead you as the client will go to one of our dealers or providers and choose the type of countertop material you wish to use, you will decide which color, style, etc and pay for it separately, then the material is transported into our workshops where it will be cut and adjusted according to specs. In the case of the countertops, we will only bill you for our labor, that is, cutting, adjusting, and installing it.
At the moment the most popular materials used for countertops are:
QUARTZ
Easy to clean and maintain
Quartz is a natural mineral that when combined with polyester as a binding agent, makes it one of the hardest and most popular materials for countertops. It is extremely durable, non-absorbent, and hygienic making it safe for food handling and preparation, since it is a sealed material, it inhibits the growth of bacteria so no bad odors or mold. Quartz is easily cleaned and maintained, it requires no regular sealing or maintenance, unlike granite and marble.
Since Quartz is engineered, it offers a huge array of colors and designs, another great feature of Quartz is that you can have a huge kitchen and all the countertops will have the same design, color, texture, etc., allowing a homogenous design.
There are many stores that offer Quartz, Quartzite, Cambria, Marble and Granite slabs for countertops, you can check with them as we do not interfere with that part of the process in your kitchen cabinet building. We can suggest some upon request.
QUARTZITE
Hard and much more durable
Quartzite is a natural stone made mostly of quartz and silica, when used for countertops, it is used in its natural form while Quartz countertops are produced by mixing quartz particles with polyester as a binding element and pigments to produce different colors and patterns.
Quartz and Quartzite are not similar in spite of the similarity in names, Quartzite is from most points of view, superior to granite, marble, etc. Quartzite may resemble a lot like marble, but it is harder, sturdier and it is a lot less porous than most stones thus requires little to no sealing. Some specialists do recommend applying some light sealing just to make sure, but it usually is not necessary, so maintenance is low.
Another advantage of Quartzite is the fact that its cost is lower than Marble in spite of offering several features that makes it more effective and desirable, for example Quartzite is harder and much more durable than marble and again, requires a lot less maintenance and care.

CAMBRIA QUARTZ
Superior sort of quartz
Cambria Quartz is a superior sort of quartz which offers similar features than regular quartz but exceeds the previous. Cambria Quartz countertops will not require any type of chemical treatment to achieve its maximum impenetrability, it’s naturally impenetrable and precisely this feature makes it as hygienic as stainless steel and other materials used in extremely sterile environments making it impossible to for fungus, parasites and bacteria to penetrate. It offers a great amount of design, patterns and colors thus making it very easy to choose the right one for you.
Cambria is extremely hard, resists stains, chips and declaration like no other material available. It may be a little pricey but definitely worth it.

MARBLE
The most traditional
Marble is, without a doubt, the most traditional of all materials used for floors, decorative elements, wall tiles, kitchen countertops, bathrooms, etc, since the Roman empire until today, and even thought now a day, Marble has been replaced in a lot of homes and businesses by other materials that hold that same elegance and flair but are less expensive in general, some people love the classic look and texture of marble, which some say can be imitated but never duplicated.
Marble is generally a less cost effective material, but if you are not worried about money, then we will be more than happy to work with this classic, and design the kitchen countertop that you want in marble.

GRANITE
Affordability
Another classic that has been decorating our kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities for years still occupy a high place in the preference of home builders and owners.
Granite is a natural stone that results from the cooling and solidification of magma under the earth’s surface which contains high levels of quartz, silica, and alkali metal oxides.
Granite is another material that you can count on when you are looking for alternatives to use on your kitchen countertops or in your bathrooms.
When it comes to affordability and you compare the price per square foot, you may find that in some instances, quartz may be at the same level as granite or even cheaper, but that will depend on the quality of the material you wish to use and the types of cut. In any case, we can always suggest various stone stores that will provide you with samples and prices for their different quality of materials.
